One of the things that concerns us when any company launches a new operating system on the market is: Will I be able to use it on my Mac? In the case of Apple, the answer "is usually yes" in most cases, but more and more progress is being made in the possibilities offered by the new OS X and it is difficult for everything to work on all Macs.
After seeing the improvements implemented by Apple in their new OS X Mavericks 10.9, some already think if they can install it on their mac and although Apple hasn't mentioned anything about it about the compatibility of this new OS X, it would be normal for everyone who supports OS X Mountain Lion to install the new software ...
But let's see a small list in which more or less the possible compatible Mac computers are shown, remember that this is not said by Apple:
- iMac (Mid-2007 or later)
- MacBook (13-inch Aluminum, Late 2008), (13-inch, Early 2009 or later)
- MacBook Pro (13-inch, Mid-2009 or later), (15-inch, Mid / Late 2007 or later), (17-inch, Late 2007 or later)
- MacBook Air (Late 2008 or later)
- Mac Mini (Early 2009 or later)
- Mac Pro (Early 2008 or later)
- Xserve (Early 2009)
This new OS X Mavericks 10.9 asks as minimum requirements an Intel 64-bit processor that can run OS X 10.6.7 Snow Leopard or later without problems. In addition to this, a minimum disk space of 8GB is also required and about 4 GB of RAM memory in the computer is recommended for its correct operation.
All this are just some of the reports from the developers, we will wait for the official confirmation from Apple but We do not believe that it varies much from what is stated in this article.
