Alternatives to the native Apple Watch app to control sleep

Native app to measure sleep on Apple Watch

One of the new features that was renewed the most in the new Apple Watch was sleep monitoring in its users. However, although the application is quite good, we have to take into account that there are other options in the App Store and that they work really well, in fact a little better if possible. We refer to Autosleep and Sleep ++.

The native application of the Apple Watch for measuring sleep, is quite well achieved. Very Apple style. I mean that for example, to see the sleep data analyzed by the watch, we can choose between seeing it in the Apple Watch application or in the Health application on iPhone. Actual data is limited. We will simply see how long we have slept and a range of heart rate (which according to studies could predict being infected with COVID before the first symptoms appear). It is at this point in particular where Autosleep and Sleep ++ come in handy.

autosleep

AutoSleep to measure sleep

It's probably the sleep tracker app for the Apple Watch most popular on the App Store. But it is that it has its logic and it is overwhelming. Provide some of the more detailed data, including a detailed analysis of sleep, sleep quality, heart rate, deep sleep and a long etcetera. It is very reminiscent of Apple's activity tracking system because uses a ring system to help us monitor those statistics. The main interface displays the rings for sleep, sleep quality, deep sleep, and Beats per minute.

With so much data, it is normal that the AutoSleep interface can become a bit overwhelming once the program starts. To combat that, the app also offers a great extension on Apple Watch itself that makes it easy to quickly view sleep data for the current day.

Sleep ++

Sleep ++ to control sleep on Apple Watch

Sleep++ is another quite popular application. LThe main interface provides a detailed view of your sleeping habits during the last days. TIt also offers a lot of data on trends, cycles, phases and more elements related to sleep metrics. The best is that we can to see one detailed sleep timeline, even when rested, restless, or awake.

It depends on you, which of these variants do you want to start playing with. We recommend that you do it with those of the Apple Watch and as you need more options, choose one of these or any other that you see appropriate. Of course, remember to charge the Apple Watch before going to sleep, especially if you have had a very long day.
