Analysts warn of a decline in MacBook production

We are in a moment where the forecasts of the main analysts cross in several directions. On the one hand, we have a large amount of data that has warned for a long time that the sale of Macs is still in free fall, then we have another handful of analysts who argue a "stability of sales" in some quarters of the year in terms of Mac despite the general decline in computer sales, and finally we have those who see the post-PC era over and do not believe that computers continue to sell as before. In short, a good handful of opinions that cross between them and that do not leave anything clear.

For now, what we have to be clear about is that until Apple itself indicates the amount of sales of Macs and the rest of the products in its catalog, these are all assumptions based on the markets or in some cases on the shipments of products. In addition to this, it is normal that at the beginning of the year the production of MacBook drops somewhat, but we do not know if that decrease translates into 16% that they indicate in IHS. Then we have the words of Apple itself - in theory the ones that really count - arguing the best reservation record for a MacBook Pro in the history of the company, so this is a real mess.

It is evident that the sales of the Macs or the PCs go down during these years and is that we are not changing computers every yearAt a minimum, the duration of the equipment is usually three, four or even more years (in personal use) but of course, the simple thing is to join the bandwagon of the post-PC era.

There is no doubt that more and more users are stopping using Macs to browse, use social networks, check email and the like. to switch to iPad, but it is evident that today you cannot do everything on the iPad or tablets on the market and that is why the Macs we believe will continue to be used and sold like the rest of the PC's.
