Apple's Space Campus reaches the halfway point of its works

The Apple Campus 2 or more popularly known as Space Campus, has already reached the halfway point of its works, having completed five of the nine parts of which the ring is composed. It is impressive to think that only six months ago the works began lifting the building of the main structure of cafeteria / dining room, which reached the fifth floor in March.

It seems that the secret of the rapidity of construction of the central ring of the campus lies in a novel technique when stacking the concrete slabs that establishes the base in each of the floors built more quickly.

We have approached care with this project and have paid the same attention to detail that we dedicate to the design of any Apple product. We will replace 246 thousand square meters of environmentally and operationally obsolete buildings with 260 thousand square meters with an iconic research and development campus of the 21st century

The license was granted just two years ago and since then, especially lately, the Apple Campus 2 project It has gone from strength to strength and under full sail so it is expected to be completed by mid-late 2016.

The Co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, announced this project back in 2011, noting that the 260 thousand square meters of structure of the central ring could house at least 12.000 employees, surrounded by a bucolic landscaping including orchards of fruit trees and other plants, with open spaces and trails to recover most of the 150-acre parcel that was previously occupied by different parking lots for cars.

The truth is that I am dying of curiosity to see some Apple keynote presenting the new MacBook or iPhone in which it will be the spectacular auditorium of this Campus.
