Accumulating a streak of 10 consecutive years, Apple is at the top of the list prepared by the famous Fortune magazine as the most admired company. In fact, the list is compiled by the magazine after consulting more than 3.800 executives, managers, analysts and experts.
The list continues with big name companies like: Amazon, Starbucks, Berkshire Hathaway, and Disney.
Amazon it climbs positions in the list, going from the third to the second position and unseating the Google subsidiary, Alphabet, which now occupies the sixth position.
The procedure for making the list is as follows: the magazine chooses the top 1000 companies by revenue volume, the top 500 international companies with revenues of more than ten billion dollars. However, as the list was too long, it chose to narrow the list down to 680 companies from 28 countries. Respondents were asked about aspects such as innovation, quality and social responsibility.
Another notable aspect of the list is the technical tie between Facebook and Microsoft, which occupy the ninth position. On the other hand, Apple's direct rival in technology, Samsung, comes out of the top 50 on the list. According Fortune, incidents with battery explosions had a negative influence on the assessment.
Apple is at the top of other lists like TI have Famous 500 and Global 500. It is also known that in the Fortune 500 list, the company has gone from fifth place to third, but with caution, because although in 2016 the company had a turnover of 233 billion dollars, in 2015 the company is stagnant in turnover, having a growth less abrupt on the iPhone, the modest sales of the Apple Watch or the slight decline of the iPad.
