Apple asks developers if they want WWDC22 face-to-face or not

It is tradition that at the end of the WWDC week, Apple holds a satisfaction survey among all the developers attending it. A logical and habitual thing to "capture" the sensations that its assistants have had these days, and thus try to improve in the next edition.

And precisely about the next edition, Apple has made a query in said questionnaire. You want to know what developers prefer: a WWDC22 virtual like these last two editions, or return to face-to-face events as was done before the pandemic. It is very good that the will of the attendees is taken into account. We will see what determination they make in this regard.

Within the usual satisfaction survey that Apple conducts to attendees of WWDC week, the company is asking developers if, after two years of the conference held in digital format, they would be open to attend a in-person conference in the next edition next year.

Due to the pandemic, Apple has held its Worldwide Developers Conference in a fully digital format for the past two years. These two editions, which include a pre-recorded conference at Apple Park and several sessions available online for free, have been liked by many in the developer community.

WWDC22 virtual, face-to-face, or mixed

Unlike face-to-face WWDC, the online format has enabled Apple to reach millones of developers and users around the world. Now, as the light begins to appear at the end of the tunnel with the blissful covid-19, Apple may be planning to return to an in-person conference next year while keeping some aspects in a digital format.

One of the questions as part of this year's WWDC survey is: "How likely would you be to attend a conference in person after experiencing an event entirely online?"

Undoubtedly Apple is already thinking about the next WWDC22 edition, and will be considering whether to do it in-person or, or continue with the virtual one like these last two editions.
