Apple makes a clean slate in the Titan project

It appears that things are not working out as they should for the Cupertino-based company in the latest project the company undertook. We are talking about the Titan project, which according to The New York Times will lay off more than a thousand employees related to its electric vehicle project. Apparently according to this newspaper, Apple wants to start over from the beginning since apparently the project is not progressing as planned. Apparently this decision has been made by Bob Mansfield, who for a couple of months has been in charge of this project.

Once Mansfield has reviewed all the documentation and has checked the status of the project, has decided to clean the slate and start practically from scratch, despite the large amount of money that Apple had already invested in it. But it seems that this decision was the only feasible one if the company wants to carry out this project with the maximum guarantees, especially now that Mansfield, the specialist in special projects, has returned to the company at the request of Tim Cook.

Apple seeks ownership to test Apple Car

The massive layoff of employees will occur in the coming days and will affect more than 1.000 employees, many of them have come from Tesla, Ford and General Motors. Apparently so far the company has created several prototypes of this future electric vehicle, a vehicle that apparently was not offering the results sought by the company. The first serious problems of the company began at the beginning of the year when the head of the project abandoned it due to irreconcilable differences with Jony Ive, the head of design of the company.

A few months ago it was rumored that the project would arrive a year late on the market, in 2021, but with this new restructuring, It seems that the future Apple Car will take even longer to reach the market. This delay would pose a serious problem for the interests of the company in this new market, since by that time, many will be the manufacturers that already offer autonomous electric vehicles like the one that Apple is supposedly designed under the Titan project.
