Apple cancels plans for a possible Mac mini with M1 Pro and focuses on the M2

Apple Mac mini

The Mac mini has always been a device, which at least in my opinion, has not received the treatment it deserves. Taking into account that it takes up little space but gives very good results, it should always be in the top sales positions, but not even Apple has treated this Mac model as it deserves. In fact, the latest is that, according to rumours, plans to bring this model to the market with the M1 Pro chip would have been canceled for focus squarely on the M2. Something that on the other hand has its good logic.

In the Mac computer market, we already have M1 and M2 chip devices. The most normal thing is that a user when going to buy a new Mac, choose the newest and that means opting for the M2. Apple Silicon has already proven its worth and the M2 tells us that it is more powerful than its brother, and that it is possible that in the near future, they will launch Pro versions of that M2. So that it is rare to opt for an M1, provided there is the other, of course.

That may be why Apple has reportedly scrapped plans to release a new M1 Pro version of the Mac mini for the Mac mini, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman. We are talking about plans that should have already come true, but have not. time has passed and now it is not convenient, according to the company, to launch a computer on the market that, according to its announcement, would already be "old".

According to this information, the American company is considering launching a new Mac mini powered by M2 and M2 Pro chips. Also the design would change, but not too much. As is almost usual at Apple. It would be the most logical. But I don't really know why they waste time when it comes to the Mac mini.
