Apple committed to accessibility according to an interview with Apple's Sarah Herrlinger

The WWDC is in addition to a contest for developers, a showcase for Apple to expose some of the initiatives it has in development. One of them occurred at the same conference, where Sarah Herrlinger, Apple's director of global accessibility policies and initiatives, participated in a Podcast to discuss Apple's accessibility plans.

The Podcast is hosted by Steven Aquino and Timothy Buck, renowned podcasters who carry out a program focused on access to technology for those who suffer from any type of disability. Herrlinger showed Apple's commitment to accessibility and what it represents for the company.

Accessibility is something that is very important to us as a company. We have a long history of thinking about accessibility in our products and I think we are doing it in two ways. You're trying to create truly innovative assistive technology and make sure our products work for everyone because of the critical assistive technologies that we incorporate. In addition, we also make everything we do accessible to everyone else.

These types of interventions are very worthwhile, to learn how Apple applies a large part of the benefits it generates, with the intention of bringing its technology to those who have any type of difficulty. The development of virtual assistants, as well as artificial intelligence, will greatly help all those users who cannot take advantage of the advantages of Apple's operating systems.

Tim Cook himself has participated in the last year in several accessibility events, to demonstrate Apple's commitment. The podcast also includes the CEO of AssitiveWare, David Niemeijer and one of the most relevant people of the last WWDC of 2018, John Ciocca.

The Podcast is available in the application Apple podcast and on other platforms, in case you want to hear it.
