Throughout the year, we are echoing the different news related to the Apple Store that Apple plans to open or remodel. A few days ago we informed you of the plans of the Cupertino-based company to temporarily close the emblematic Apple Store on Fifth Avenue in New York to adapt it to the current design of the stores in addition to making it more comfortable for users with motor disabilities. Today it is the turn to comment on a piece of news that some users may be particularly interested in as it has to do with their greatest rival in the world of telephony, since Apple has officially confirmed that it plans to open an Apple Store in Seoul, South Korea, home of the world's largest mobile phone manufacturer.
Apple has confirmed the news to Reuters where we can read:
We are excited to open the first new Apple Store in Korea, one of the most important economic centers and a leader in the telecommunications and technology market sector with a significant k culture. We are currently looking for staff for the first store, staff who will have the mission of meeting the needs of lovers of the company's products, and making consumers enjoy them.
As reported a few months ago by The Wall Street Journal, the location of the store would be close to the Samsung headquarters, opposite Gangnam station, a location that the Cupertino boys have not wanted to confirm or deny. The Korean market is almost equally dominated by LG and Samsung companies. Currently all Apple products are available to the inhabitants of the country through different authorized resellers, so the limited success that the company has in the world of telephony has nothing to do with the fact that it does not have its own Apple Store.
