Apple has decided that the time has come to recall the original HomePod. Through a statement issued by the company, has decided to discontinue the original model launched four years ago in favor of its little brother launched at the end of 2020. At the moment some models are still on sale but not in all Apple Stores or the Web.
The original HomePod was released four years ago and was Apple's smart speaker at the company's own price. That is why it may not have succeeded as much as expected. In addition, it has not been updated much in these four years but the price has not changed and that also takes its toll. Even so, everyone who has it is happy with it, especially with its sound quality. However, users are looking for something else and that is why launched in 2020 the most modern and small version of this speaker. The HomePod mini doesn't sound the same but it seems that it is more successful and that is what the company wants.
