Apple Expands Map Service Enhancements to New Areas of the United States

When traveling with our vehicle, finding a street or visiting a city that we do not know, Apple offers us its map service called Apple Maps as an interesting alternative to Google Maps, although it is still a long way from offering the level of information and detail that we find in the search giant's mapping service.

However, as the years go by, the number of details and information is increasing and catching up with Google, although at the moment only in the United States. All this is possible thanks to the different vehicles that travel around the world of Apple with cameras on top.

Apple introduced the new improvements in Apple Maps a little over a year ago, improvements that for now had only been available on the west coast of the United States. However, in recent days, both the center and the east coast of the United States have begun to offer much more detailed information.

Apple is taking the issue very calmly of the maps, so we can wait sitting down for this level of detail to be available in our country, as long as we reside outside the United States, a country where Apple Maps shows a level of detail very similar to that found in Google Maps in practically everyone.

To obtain its map data, Apple is using its own vehicles equipment with LIDAR sensors and cameras, vehicles that you have probably seen on occasion in your city. Since its official launch with iOS 6, Apple's map service has evolved so much that many users do not consider Google Maps as an option to consider, something that certainly helps to improve Apple's map service.
