Many of those present may not know that Apple once sold printers as well as computers and iPods. The Cupertino company came to a halt before the year 2.000 and put aside the manufacture and sale of the same.

Now a patent is coming to light that revives that possibility that Apple will launch its own printers again in the future. But make no mistake, Apple is not thinking about normal printers that most of us can have next to the Mac, are thinking about 3D printers.

At the moment one of these 3D printers is quite expensive and little by little they are being taken out of what we can call the professional market, this type of printers are becoming more common among users like us and it is possible that because of this the market stabilizes and prices fall as it is already beginning to happen. Evidently Apple only has one patent more than the thousands they have registered and in it you can see a 3D printer.

Ok, now we know that Apple has a patent on a 3D printer, but what is it patenting if this type of printer has already been on the market for a long time? Well, basically the patent teaches a printer with two heads and would allow adding different colors in a 3D figure thanks to some kind of dye or paint spray. This 3D color printer would be very interesting for professionals moving away from home use a bit. For example, companies like Apple itself that create a lot of prototypes would have the possibility of designing products in colors, size and shape the same as the final product.

We'll wait to see what comes out of it all But by now we are clear that it will not be a 3D printer that will go on the market immediately, far from it.
