Apple gets the go-ahead to open a new Apple Store on the Champs Elysees in Paris

A few months ago I told you about the Apple's interest in opening a new Apple Store in the Parisian capital, in one of the most emblematic locations of the city, the Champs Elysees, one of the most famous and busiest areas of the city. As we have been able to read in the French blog Mac4Ever, the Cupertino-based company has finally managed to obtain the approval of the city council to be able to open this new Apple Store, a new Apple Store that at the moment we do not know the location, but that will have an area of 7.000 square meters and will be found on the ground floor of a historic building.

Apparently Apple obtained the permit on December 20, as this medium has been able to find out, but the only thing that is known about the location is that it will be on the most popular avenue in the city. At the beginning of last year we published a news story stating that Apple had reached an agreement to rent a historic property for 12 years at this location, but since then we had not heard from it again. Apple always takes it very calmly when opening new Apple Stores, we do not know if because of the necessary permissions or because it is never in a hurry to do so.

The design of this new store will again be carried out by Norman Foster, the same designer who has been in charge of Campus 2, a Campus that should have completed the works before the end of the year, but as we showed you a few days ago, the works are continuing and everything seems to indicate that until the beginning of the second quarter, the works they are not scheduled for completion. It will be then when Apple begins to move to the new facilities, leaving the current ones for purposes other than the current ones.
