On March 7, we informed you of the Beginning of the end of the iMac Pro, a computer that Apple only offered in its basic configuration and that the company had confirmed that it planned to renew. Two weeks later, the iMac Pro already was out of stock in most Apple Store. For a few hours, already it is not available in the Apple Store online.
For a few hours, all reference to Apple's iMac Pro has disappeared on most Apple websites around the world, such as Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. It seems that Apple's official confirmation of ending this model has allowed it to get rid of all stocks in record time.
If you have in your browser a link to the web where this equipment was displayed, you will automatically be redirected to Apple's main website. In addition, it is not shown in the list of Mac computers that Apple currently offers us by clicking on this range in the top menu bar. All references to the iMac Pro hardware have also disappeared.
When Apple officially confirmed the non-renewal of the iMac Pro range, you could only buy the basic model, without having the option to improve any component of the device, that is, we only had the option to buy the basic model whose price was 5.499 euros.
Even though people loved the idea of the iMac Pro, especially the color of both the equipment and accessories, and that its price was quite high, many were the users who trusted this Apple solution.
However, in recent years, the configuration options of the iMac range had been equated with this model, so it had stopped making sense to continue keeping it on the market, hence Apple has taken the logical step of discontinuing it and not renewing it for a second generation.
It is likely that in the coming months some of these models I may end up going back to the Apple Store, Specifically to the refurbished section, but it is unlikely, as Apple will prefer to dispose of them through resellers.
What is clear is that all those users who trusted this device and have spent the more than 5.000 euros that the cheapest version cost, it will not have done them well see how your expensive equipment has been discontinued by Apple.
