Apple has publicly named OS X as MacOS

If you have an Apple account, surely you have received an email from it informing you of the initiative that those in Cupertino have had with a certain number of developers in such a way that 100% of what is collected from the sale of these applications will go to actions in defense of the environment.

The project calls itself Apps for Earth and if you click on this link it redirects you to the initiative's iTunes store where you will be able to find many of the applications we are talking about. However, this article is not to talk specifically about that but about a slip that Apple has had in the writing of one of the texts that we can find on the Apple website.

As you can currently see in the Apple website that we link to you, which is the Frequently Asked Questions area about the actions that Apple is taking in relation to improving the environment, in the second point of the question "How does Apple assess the life cycle of greenhouse gas emissions from its products?" you can read the following:

Usage time is established based on first-hand owners, and is set at four years for devices OS X and tvOS, and three for iOS and watchOS devices. You will find more information about the energy consumption of our products in the environmental product reports.

However, this is not what I said a few hours ago and it is that they have had a slip with the name of the computer system and instead of putting OS X they have put MacOS.

This could corroborate that Apple would already be outlining the new version of OS X that would be presented at WWDC 2016 in June and that it would be called MacOS, that is, it would return to its beginnings.

I never understood why they changed it from Mac OS to OS X, which sounds horrible, it always has been and shouldn't stop being Mac OS, even iOS should be called Mac OS Mobile or something like that.
