Apple hires former Google engineer in charge of electric car

Apple continues to make contracts related to the electric vehicle that it will launch on the market between 2019 and 2020. Little by little we are going knowing more about the intentions or plans of the company according to the type of hiring it is making. In recent weeks Apple has removed the checkbook and has signed the former Tesla engineer in charge of the design, but he has not been the only one. Last June, Apple signed Kurt Adelberger when he left the Mountain View-based company and was in charge of Google's autonomous vehicle charging system.

This new hiring has been made public by the latest patent that Google has managed to register in which speeds up the charging process by up to 30%. On the patent we find Kurt's name among the engineers who developed the patent. This patent describes an intelligent charging system that puts both the vehicle and the battery in communication, depending on how we use it, to charge the vehicle battery in one way or another. The system automatically determines the level of power required to be able to charge the battery in the shortest possible time.

But Kurt has also worked on various systems to store energy obtained from natural sources. This work was put into practice at Google's facilities, where part of the energy needed to keep the complex running is also obtained from natural sources, such as the sun or the wind. Kurt designed the system the company currently uses to store that energy. As we can see on Kurt's LinkedIn profile, he is currently working in the product design area. Of course, if you are working for the Apple Car we will never know
