Apple is already part of the NFC Forum group

Although the guys from Cupertino were quite reluctant to implement NFC (Near Field Communication) technology In their devices, in recent times things have changed and now it is a technology implemented in their new iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus and more recently in the Apple Watch. Now in addition to adding it to your devices, Apple joined this non-profit organization that promotes the use and development of wireless technologies, NFC Forum.

The director of the NFC Forum herself, Paula hunter, was in charge of giving the news in the middle NFCWorld:

We are delighted to welcome Apple to our board of directors as a sponsoring member of the NFC Forum. The highest level of membership in the NFC Forum, with participation as a sponsor, entitles you to a seat on the board of directors of the NFC Forum, the governing body of the association.

This means that Apple will collaborate, decide and help with its full potential to current sponsors of the NFC Forum for further progress with this technology. Some of the members that we can find are large manufacturers and current companies such as: Google, Samsung, Visa, MasterCard, Nokia, Intel, Sony, Broadcom and Qualcomm, which have joined the NFC Forum during these years, founded in 2004 by Nokia, Philips and Sony currently boasting 170 members.

Without a doubt you can always improve in technology and the current NFC does not escape possible improvementsTherefore, as more companies are involved in these improvements, greater benefits will come to the end user. Personally, I can say that little use is given to NFC and not because I refuse to do so, simply because some countries need to put the batteries to implement this technology in their services.
