Apple is focusing on Siri so it can be more useful and productive

Siri is one of the first assistants to hit the market, hand in hand with the iPhone 4s, but since then has always been in the background, without paying the slightest attention to it. Over the years, both Google with Google Now, Microsoft with Cortana and now Samsung, have been working on their different virtual assistants placing them above Siri, which has become very out of date if we buy it with its rivals. The first step was to offer Siri in macOS Sierra, finally the Siri assistant arrived on Apple's desktop version, but as always very limited, as in iOS.

As reported by the DigiTimes publication, Apple is focusing on improving Siri in all its aspects. Although the latest versions of iOS have offered us a more proactive Siri, it is still quite low compared to its rivals. But DigiTimes is not the only source that claims that Apple is working on it, since the new R&D center that will open in Japan next March, will focus on artificial intelligence, a subject in which Japan wants be in the lead and where Siri has a very important role.
