Apple releases beta 5 of the new macOS High Sierra for developers

Apple released today for developers the fifth beta of the next update to macOS High Sierra two weeks after the fourth beta of the same was put into circulation and almost two months after this new version of the system was presented in society at WWDC 2017.

The new beta of macOS High Sierra can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center or through the software update system in the Mac App Store.

Little time has passed since this new beta has been made available to developers, but it has already been known that the presents a new option for capture Live Photos while using the FaceTime app, which will be highly applauded by lovers of video calls.

As you may already know, macOS High Sierra builds on features introduced in macOS Sierra, focusing on a new Apple File System (APFS), High Efficiency Video Codec (HEVC), and an updated metal version with support for VR and external GPUs.

Safari has gained speed improvements, an option to prevent automatic video playback, and a new feature that prevents data tracking between sites. Siri, meanwhile, in macOS High Sierra has expanded music capabilities and a new, more natural voice, while Spotlight supports flight status information. There are also improvements to iCloud, FaceTime, Messages, and Notes.
