Apple launches a donation program to help in Japan and Ecuador

Donations-Apple-Ecuador

Several parts of the world are being shaken by very powerful earthquakes. We are talking about the areas of Ecuador or Japan. In the case of Ecuador, the fatalities already rise to more than 580 people and it is that if last Saturday there was an earthquake of 7,8 degrees on the Ritcher scale, now it has occurred a new replica of the earthquake with an intensity of 6 degrees on the same scale, which augurs that the death toll is going to increase.

The inhabitants of Japan do not have better luck and it is that two days ago those Asian lands were shaken by an earthquake of 5,6 degrees on the Ritcher scale that was about to generate a Tsunami.

Following the devastating earthquakes that have hit Japan and Ecuador in recent days, Apple has opened a donation page on iTunes to support relief efforts in both areas. The company, as it has done in the past, It has partnered with the American Red Cross for donations and is accepting donations of $ 5, $ 10, $ 25, $ 50, $ 100, and $ 200.

Donations are being received through iTunes and the App Store and can be made through iOS and Mac devices. Apple is promoting the Red Cross partnership by adding links on the main pages of both stores. On the other hand, Apple notes that everyone who makes a donation under Apple ID will receive a single receipt by email.

We hope that what is happening in these areas will end as soon as possible and that the thousands of people affected can be treated as they deserve.
