Apple releases fifth beta of tvOS 11.3 for developers

Beta 5-tvOS 11.3

As every Monday Apple releases updates or new betas of what will be the next operating systems of their devices. In this case, they have given the green light to the fifth beta of tvOS 11.3 for developers. This new beta arrives precisely one week after the arrival of the fourth beta and three weeks after the tvOS 11.2.6 update was released.

It is clear that this beta is directed only to two models of Apple TV and those are the last two, the fourth generation Apple TV and the fifth generation Apple TV or Apple TV 4K. What's more, This beta has to be installed through the Apple Configurator and Xcode.

Apple goes on, week after week, adding new features and improving the next big version of tvOS, the tvOS 11.3. Today the fifth beta of the upcoming fourth and fifth generation Apple TV system has been released. The first thing that the developers will check is if Apple has added the protocol again AirPlay 2, a long-awaited and necessary feature for many of us who have more than a few bluetooth headsets and we want to see content with company without disturbing the neighbors.

Other improvements to come with tvOS 11.3 are compatibility with Match Content, this is one automatic frame rate switching on the fourth-generation Apple TV, which already runs on fifth-generation 4K units in addition to the automatic mode change for AirPlay video sessions.

New HomePod

It is too early to know what other features those of Cupertino have touched in this new tvOS 11.3 beta, but we are sure that there is very little left for Apple to launch that new final version that will complement perfectly with some new firmware for the HomePod, firmware that will arrive with the long-awaited implementations that many users have come to expect from the smart speaker.
