A few weeks ago, Apple took advantage of the launch of the final versions of iOS and OS X to incidentally launch the new version of iTunes 12.4 version that introduced important changes especially in the aesthetics and operation of iTunes. Version 12.4 of iTunes allows us to access both the information that we have stored on our device and the information that we have stored in iTunes in a much simpler and faster way, with the new interface design, highly anticipated by users, but it should also have solved the problems encountered by many users who claimed that iTunes had deleted many of their music libraries for no apparent reason or justification.
Apple visited the person who reported this problem and spent a weekend testing without finding the problem, still released iTunes 12.4 stating that the issue was being resolved, since apparently it had nothing to do with iTunes management but with OS X itself. A few days later, this time fewer users have continued to claim that the iTunes library had been deleted again. What this event shows is that Apple's software engineers in recent months have not been very fine.
With the release of iTunes in version 12.4.1 in theory Apple should have finally solved this problem, but we will not know for a few days, since the description of this update only informs us that it has solved small errors in the operation of the application, but has also fixed an issue affecting the play order of a playlist and another small problem that prevented iTunes from chaining songs. This update is now available for download through the Mac App Store
