Apple releases macOS Big Sur 11.1

Big Sur

Apple has just released version 11.1 of macOS Big Sur for all users along with the rest of the available versions of iOS, iPadOS, tvOS and watchOS. In this case there are improvements in the performance and stability of the system but we also find changes and improvements in the system itself such as compatibility with the new AirPods Max, improvements in the App Store, Apple TV app and more.

Many of these improvements focus on bug fixes and troubleshooting, so we add a small list with the main improvements in the Mac operating system:

  • QuickTime Player might crash when opening a video with a timecode track after upgrading from macOS Catalina.
  • The status of the Bluetooth connection was not displayed in the control center.
  • Problem with the reliability of automatic Mac unlocking using an Apple Watch.
  • Trackpad scrolling speed could be faster than expected on MacBook Pro models.
  • The LG UltraFine 5K display could incorrectly display 4K resolution on Mac computers with the M1 chip.
  • Photos in Apple ProRAW format can be edited in the Photos app.

Apple continues to release new versions of its different OS with several beta versions behind them, so we hope that these do not contain bugs. Just in case the best thing is to wait before installing anything on our computer the opinions that are dumped on the network after a few days, although personally speaking that I have been testing the beta versions I can say that everything is working properly.
