Apple releases third betas of macOS Catalina 10.15.6, watchOS 6.2.8 and tvOS 13.4.8

Catherine beta

Apple follows its planning of versions of operating systems without taking into account the WWDC 2020. Last Monday the betas of the next Apple firmwares were released so that developers could already "play" with them during the days of the conferences. But of course, these updates will not be finished and will be official until autumn.

Meanwhile, the company will still release a last update of the firmwares currentThat is why it has just launched the third beta of these, to finish polishing them and officially release them shortly. They are sure to be the least tested betas of the entire year.

Surely all Apple developers will have pouted when they see that the third firmware betas have been released today macOS Catalina 10.15.6, watch 6.2.8 and tvOS 13.4.8, along with those of iOS and iPadOS.

And I say a bad face because only a week ago Apple released the first betas of the versions of its firmwares this year: macOS 11, iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, and watchOS 7. So little grace will make them retest an already "outdated" firmware.

In principle, being third betas, no significant new features should be found, as they are highly polished versions and will only differ from previous betas in typical bug fixes.

Most likely, Apple will release these versions for all users in a few days, and except for a security patch that has to be done urgently, already there will be no more versions of current firmwares.

Both Apple engineers and developers will focus on the new softwares introduced last week, and that in theory will be ready for the usual Keynote of September or October at the latest.

With the first betas already running on developer devices, a couple of Betas more, to have everything ready for the end of the summer.
