Apple recently rented an 8.900-square-foot warehouse in Sunnyvale, California, formerly used by Pepsi as a bottling plant for your products. This new property is believed to become part of one more location where tests of the much talked about Titan project, more commonly known as the Apple Car, will be carried out.

This information has emerged thanks to a loan document presented to the county clerk's office and reviewed by the publication of the Silicon Valley Business Journal, where it was shown that Apple had rented the property in November. It is not clear how long to rent or what Apple really plans to do with the building, but seeing the proximity of the other Apple facilities and the area where the construction is located, everything suggests that it will be dedicated as I have said previously, to the Titan project.

However, this is not the first time that an acquisition or rental of facilities dedicated to developing the Apple Car, other dedicated facilities were already discovered last year such as a private test area for the car in question and even a repair shop where residents of the area already interposed noise complaints from said workshop.

Even so, not everything is good news for this development, since barely a month ago the rumor emerged that at the moment the project would be paralyzed due to how difficult it has been to enter a totally new market that they do not dominate and that for now they prefer to continue studying.

Although everything indicates that the rental would be thinking for this type of activity, as I have said it is still unknown. Although all the facilities related to Project Titan are nearby. Apple is known for being a company known for carrying out major research and development outside of Cupertino. We have a good example of this in what was the development of the Apple Watch where much of the research was carried out in external laboratories in which values related to health and physical condition were measured.

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, in a recent statement when interviewed, stated that the hiring of employees from the automotive industry does not necessarily have to reflect the commitment of a single project. Still, rumors persist and some analysts expect an announcement of this project between 2019 and 2020.
