Apple Leases Office Space in Seattle for 475 Employees

Despite the fact that Apple Park is gigantic and has capacity for more than 10.000 employees, Apple not only has those offices for developer all its projects, but both in the United States and abroad, it has office spaces to devote to other tasks.

According to GeekWire, the Cupertino-based company has applied for a series of permits from the Seattle city hall rent an office space that will span 70.000 square feet (7.200 square meters) and will have a capacity for about 475 people. These facilities would be located in the Two Union Square building, where the company already has 5 reserved floors.

Apple started working in Seattle in 2014 after buying a cloud computing startup called Union Bay Networks. Since now, Apple's offices have been growing and in 2016 after the acquisition of Turi, it transformed the facilities in this city aimed at working on Artificial Intelligence and machine learning systems. As of today, Apple's Seattle offices are looking to cover 19 seats, places for automatic language processing.

Seattle is a city where currently the headquarters of Amazon and Microsoft are located, in addition to other technology companies such as Google and Facebook, where they have a very important presence. With such a concentration of technology companies, it is very easy for companies to test out workers from other companies, so recruiting specialized personnel is a simpler task than in other areas.

Apple's strict privacy policies have forced it to use creative media for make Siri smart, being criticized for being less capable than the alternatives of Amazon and Google, due to the use that both Amazon and Google have made of user data, data with which both companies improve the functioning of their assistants.
