Apple Maps now offers information on public transport in Singapore

At the moment Apple's plans with Apple Maps seem to have been slowed down since the beginning of the year. Since January we have had little news related to Apple's plans to add information on public transport in cities where it is not yet available beyond rumors. The latest rumors, related to this type of information, affirm that Madrid will be the first Spanish city to enjoy this function. But so far we have not heard anything more about it until today. The Cupertino Boys they have just added information on public transport in Singapore, a country that will open its first Apple Store in a few weeks.

At the moment this information is only available in the capital but over time, according to Apple, it will expand to neighboring regions, which will allow users of Apple products to travel without having to use their own vehicle, rented or cab. Apple Maps provides information about the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit), the public transport system that offers connections to almost the entire city. Each of the transportation lines is displayed in a different color so that users can quickly identify them.

In addition, Points of Interest have also been added, where Apple highlights the main destinations in the city if we visit it. The last cities in which Apple offers this type of information are Detroit and Michigan in the United States and Windsor and Ontario in Canada. Apple began offering this type of information since the launch of iOS 9, offering this type of information initially in a large number of American and Chinese cities, one of Apple's old priorities, when the Asian market had become one of the company's main sources of income.
