Apple Maps is used in CarPlay, on our Apple devices (Mac, iPhone, iPad), but it can be opened to web pages thanks to the new development tool that Apple launched a few days ago and that It is called «MapKit JS». With it, developers can achieve embed a widget on your website and that visiting users can interact with it, either by zooming in or zooming out the map, as well as being able to make queries or searches.
MapKit JS is in beta and according to comments from 9to5mac, this tool already was discovered a couple of years ago. On the other hand, developers already have the necessary tools available to work with this new JavaScript library and thus customize the maps they want to show; that is, adding annotations at the points of interest that they want; customize routes, etc.
Finally, and according to Apple comments from the tool's own page, MapKit JS allows 25.000 map uploads per day and 250.000 service calls per day. Google, for example, offers its free rate of 25.000 charges per day and 100.000 calls to the service per month.
