The time came when Apple Music ousted Spotify users in the United States for subscriptions and that is because The Wall Street Journal affirms this in its publication. It seems that everything is looking ahead for this figure to continue growing but right now in the month of February Apple would have about 28 million subscribers and Spotify would have about two million fewer, about 26 million in total.
Surely the guys from Cupertino will release these figures officially in a keynote, conference or who knows if in the next financial results conference at the end of April, what is clear is that one day or another it had to happen and now they can claim that they have more customers on their streaming music service than Spotify.
Apple dominates in the United States and this is why
The truth is that this news had to arrive at one time or another and the reason for this is that in the United States the devices that dominate the market are from the Cupertino company, so it is logical that users if they have to pay for a streaming music service to do so with Apple's. This may be for convenience, services or whatever, but it makes the most sense.
Obviously, the variety and quantity of music in both services can be said to be more and more even, so the final choice is in price, comfort and the "dependency" of having a Mac, iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch. Global user figures are still clearly dominated by Spotify but the Swedes cannot rest on their laurels as Apple and other services are eating the ground. And you, do you have Apple Music or Spotify contracted?
The most important difference lies in the quality of the music, while on Spotify it is up to 320, Apple Music is up to 240 kbs.
When comparing the sound, the difference is obvious.
If Apple changed that, it sure changed me.
