Apple Officially Releases OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

osx-yosemite

Apple has just released a new update for OS X Yosemite, this time it's about the version 10.10.5 and can be downloaded directly from the Mac App Store. After three beta versions of this version, the official version for everyone arrives today. This new version improves, among other things, the stability, compatibility and security of our Mac and solves some compatibility problems that we detail after the jump.

The improvements implemented in addition to those mentioned above are:

  • Improves compatibility with certain email servers when using the Mail application
  • Fixes an issue with the Photos app not allowing import of videos from GoPro cameras
  • Addresses an issue with the QuickTime player preventing Windows Media files from playing

The latest beta of this version was launched on August 6 and 7 days later we already have the final version. Right now I don't dare to say that it will be the last version of OS X Yosemite, but it is possible that if everything works as it should, Apple will hold on to it until the launch of OS X El Capitan. To have access to the new version we just have to access the Mac App Store> Updates from the application itself or from the  menu > App Store.

How ever since Soy de Mac We recommend installing the update as soon as possible, just as Apple itself advises and remember that this installation requires restarting our Mac
