Apple officially releases OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 version

osx-el-captain-1

In an afternoon full of updates we could not forget about the update of OS X El Capitan 10.11.2 launched this afternoon by the guys from Cupertino. This time we have not had a GM (Golden Master) version prior to the official launch of OS X. Right now the download times are quite long considering that Apple again released all the updates at the same time, both OS X, iOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

This type of release of updates all they achieve is to "collapse" the update process, so it is best to wait for tomorrow or update our devices one by one to avoid having to suffer with exaggerated download times. In any case we are going to see the improvements implemented in this new version of OS X El Capitan 10.11.2.

Osx el capitan-beta 2-products-0

In it we highlight what was already being discussed in the beta versions, improvements in the Wi-Fi connection and stability, solutions to problems related to disconnecting Bluetooth devices, improvements in the stability and reliability of the system and:

  • Handoff and Airdrop related improvements
  • Fixed an issue that prevented you from deleting email messages from an offline Exchange account in Mail
  • Fixes an issue related to importing photos from an iPhone to a Mac using the USB cable
  • Improved "Shared Photos on iCloud" for Live Photos

In short, several interesting improvements to the system that do not provide new features but that if they give us more reliability in this "discussed OS X" for many users although I can personally say that it works really well for me. In my case, the update took a long time to complete and I therefore recommend updating tomorrow due to possible server saturation.

The update is available on the Mac App Store or directly by accessing from the menú> App Store menu..

Hello, good afternoon, I would like to ask (without looking too silly) when I try to download I get a message like this: «The OS X v10.11 system is already installed on this computer. Use the update page to install the 10.11 update, or if you want to download the full OS X installer, click Continue. » I still have to give you continue to update my iMac, I appreciate your help and I congratulate you for everything you do

Hello German, a question, did you have the beta version installed?

      regards

Jordi hi, no, I had the first version that they released to update, what should I do?

Good German, I do not understand very well what you tell me about the first version. When you enter the Mac App Store do you get the new version in updates? Enter the menu her > about this Mac> and click on the version. What build do you get in parentheses?

          regards

For two years OS X has had problems with Preview, apparently everyone uses it only to see simple files. If it is used for books in pdf, many times it suffers desperate crashes when some type of selection is made, with each update I wait for a solution but nothing happens. In addition, the resolution for the visualization of pdfs made in LaTeX is unfortunate in my MBA 2012, which was not the case with previous versions of the OS.

And about the continual disconnection of bluetooth devices, it seems they didn't even bother to see if they fixed the problem and claim to have fixed it as it happens more often. And the war that gives the connection to Wifi after rest, not to mention.

Is it advisable to update to version 11.11.2? .. I updated captain from yosemite, but I had to return to yosemite because it was really bad, some programs did not work and countless errors ... not if now it is already with improvements notable? or better to stay in yosemite

Good afternoon, I updated my MacBook from 2008 with software 10.7.5 to the captain since in the App Store I got the update, I download well but when the computer restarts it stays on the block and with a line that is loading, it takes like this since 3 days, someone can appyar me

Hello Gabriela, the advisable thing when you come from an OS X as old as your case is to carry out an installation from scratch (with your backup made) to eliminate all the "garbage" that the Mac may accumulate. Turn off the Mac and start pressing Alt, then choose the system disk and see if you're lucky.

      You already tell us

Good evening, I have the same problem as Gabriela, I update the system to captain 10.11.2 and nothing else stays on the block and does not advance, what can I do? Greetings

Hello Juan Manuel, did you also come from an old OS X?

    Hello

I updated my Capitan OS to 10.11.2 and when it restarted it stays on the block and shuts down and does the same thing again.
I had Capitan 10.11.1 is a Mac Book Pro Early 2011 with 16 GB of RAM
The strangest thing is that I turn on the Lap top and press Command + R and only my disk appears, and in theory the Recovery 10.11.2 disk should also appear I cannot access the Recovery since it does not appear already and I tried with the whole game of safe boot keys, RAM reset and nothing.

The strangest thing is that I have another Mac Book 2009 and this one did not generate any problem in the update and in it if the two partitions appear when pressing Command + R (My disk and the recovery one)

What do you recommend me to do?
I don't think I have a problem with the disk since I analyzed it with a program and it said that it was correct.

    Greetings.

    Hello good evening
I have the version of mavericks 10.9.5, what would happen if I update to El Capitan, I have been informed that the new version has many flaws, is it convenient to install it or do I keep the version I have? Greetings

I recommend you continue with Mavericks, I had Lion and had no problem until I updated Captain ... bad idea.

Hello, I have a very difficult question in my opinion, I have a Macbook Pro from 2012, it is a Mac OS X Lion 10.7.5, I have the El Capitan update downloaded, but when I open the package to install it, it comes out a box that says that my Mac needs version 10.11, apart from the App Store had warned me several times that the El Capitan update could be installed on my Mac, in fact they recommended it, the point is that if I couldn't, it wouldn't let me know to actualize. I have up to the latest updated software, but my version is still 10.7.5, and the truth is that this update draws my attention and I would like to have it at my disposal (it must be said that the Yosemite update does not help me either because in the box version 10.10 is needed), and so on, please help me find a solution or tell me if there is nothing to do, thanks in advance. 🙁

My version is 10.7.5. I try to update the Captain, but I can't, only a minimal part (20%) is downloaded. I left the computer on all night, but in the morning it was still the same. I paused it. What to do? Thanks.
