In addition to the Research and Development center that Apple has in Cupertino, where all the new technology that they will implement in the new devices is mainly developed, the Cupertino-based company has a large number of centers of this type distributed throughout the world. These types of centers, those that are outside the American territory, does not usually focus on developing the next technology that will be used in the next devices, more than anything for fear that the leaks could ruin the surprises that Apple always wants to present us in each new keynote.

According to the French newspaper Le Dauphiné Libéré, it has just signed an agreement to open a new Research and Development center in the city of Grenoble, in France. The company has been looking for specialized personnel for some time to form part of the staff of this new research center, which will have an area of 800 square meters and that will employ approximately 30 people.

Apparently the company has selected this location due to the close collaboration with the company STMicroelectronics, a supplier of the different components of the company's products like the iPhone and the Apple Watch. This new center will be in charge of investigating new technologies to add to the iPhone camera.

As I mentioned above, Apple has research centers around the world, in addition to the headquarters located in Cupertino, a center that will see the space for R&D expanded when it moves to the new facilities on Campus 2. Currently Apple is in negotiations to open new R&D centers in Yokohama and India. Currently Apple has several research centers in Israel, Florida, Seattle, Boston, China, Switzerland and England.
