At the beginning of release can be read from Eddy Cue's words, Senior Vice President of Internet Software and Services, Apple:

Apple Pay has already become part of the daily lives of millions of users, who now have an easier, faster and safer way to pay for their purchases. We are very excited about the arrival of Apple Pay in the UK, which has the support of the main banks, a huge number of establishments and many of the users' favorite apps.

The news itself is very good and it is expected that the implementation of this payment service will continue to expand gradually but without pause to the rest of the countries. For the moment Apple Pay will support credit and debit cards from American Express, MasterCard and Visa Europe, issued by major UK banks including HSBC, NatWest, Nationwide Building Society, Royal Bank of Scotland, Santander and Ulster Bank. And in the fall, other major banks will be added: Bank of Scotland, Coutts, Halifax, Lloyds Bank, MBNA, M&S Bank and TSB Bank.

The pin the words of Ross McEwan, Managing Director of the Royal Bank of Scotland are clear:

In our effort to become the benchmark bank, we aspire to offer our clients the most practical and innovative experience possible. Whether in a large area, in a neighborhood store or in an app, Apple Pay is the easiest and safest way to pay and we are proud to be one of the first banks to offer this service to our customers.

Hopefully it will soon spread to more countries as it is a really safe, fast and efficient payment service
