Apple plans to change Messages on Mac

Messages on Mac

One of the best features that Apple has is the ability to communicate between all its devices. In this way and with the same iCloud account, you can start by replying to a message on the iPhone and end on the Mac. The Messages application on the computer is different from the iPhone or iPad, however this can change, at least on the Mac.

With the upcoming release of iOS 14, code has been discovered that will change the way the Mac works with the Messages application. It also seems that the renovation is going to be complete.

With the new code for iOS, Messages will change on the Mac with a new version adapted to Catalyst. The novelties that it has been gaining in the iOS version, have not been implemented in the macOs version, such as quick reactions, stickers or effects in messages.

The macOS Messages app is very simple compared to the iPhone, but this is expected to change radically shortly. With the announcement that Apple will make next month in the WWDC 2020 and the new iOS 14 code will result in macOS having the same version of the application as on iOS and iPadOS.

Remember that Catalyst allows developers to migrate their applications from iOS to macOS. With this you can have the same functionalities in macOS as in iOs and we hope that finally Apple will do it this way. Messages has been quite abandoned by the American company in its computer format almost from the beginning. Lots of people use a Mac to answer not just emails. More and more people have WhatsApp or Telegram installed on their computer.

Hope it comes true and Apple will give us that good news next month.
