Apple prepares series on the rise and fall of WeWork

WeWork

Apple's streaming video service continues to work to offer new content, content that will be added to that which is already available. According to Variety magazine, Apple is working on a new mini series for its streaming video service that will show us the rise and fall of WeWork.

Behind this new series, is Eisenberg (Apple reached an agreement to create original content for Apple TV +) who is behind another Apple product, Little America and that in turn, I work in the acclaimed The Office. This new series the podcast is based WeCrashed: The Rise and Fall of WeWork.

Unless you are aware of what is happening both inside and outside of information technology, it is unlikely that you are aware of WeWork. WeWork was born in 2010 as a lifelong real estate agency but sold its business as if it were a technology startup (so it was financed by venture capital companies). This company is dedicated to renting large office spaces that he later rented to people and thus offering a coworking system.

WeWork's downfall started when it was preparing to go public. The Wall Street Journal found that WeWork actually was a scheme that turned offices into a ponzi pyramid. In reality, he was not renting the large office spaces to sublet to freelancers, he was buying them. Where did he get the money from? From the CEO, Adam Neuman, who was lending his own company at 0,64% interest.

As described in the description of the podcast, on which this new Apple TV + series will be based:

The founders of WeWork thought they were on the brink of making history. The company was valued at $ 47.000 billion, it was poised for a big IPO, and its charismatic CEO Adam Neumann thought they were going to change the world. Adam had a prescient vision for WeWork that he sold to some of the smartest investors in the world, but did his vision ever match the reality of the company?
