The solution provided by Apple in the Butterfly keyboards for Mac laptops presented in 2018, it has not been the solution that was expected. Apple itself recognizes that the solution based on adding a silicone membrane to the internal part of the keys does not completely eliminate the problem.

What is clear is that a correct use of the keyboard: not eating on it, working in the cleanest places possible, influences the detection of problems. However, Apple made a move for months, launching a keyboard repair program. The models included in the program are the MacBook from 2015 to 2017 and MacBook Pro from 2016 and 2017, that is, to the first and second generation butterfly keyboards.
The normal thing is to see an inclusion of the 2018 MacBook Pro and 2018 MacBook Air model in this same program, as soon as the a thereof.
