On Wednesday we echoed bad news that happened at the Cupertino headquarters. The first information that came directly from the Apple Campus was scarce and evidently they were being filtered so as not to evoke some misunderstanding. Apple reacted to the news in the best possible way giving a party to all those workers who did not want to continue on the Campus on that tragic day.
The Santa Clara County Sheriff's Office confirmed the news that a man had been found dead in the building's conference room and after that the media had tremendous respect by commenting on what happened. without getting into speculation or false details about what happened.
Now with more calm and a few days after the event, the forensic doctor clarifies that:
The manner of death was suicide and the cause of the death of the 25-year-old man whose name is Edward Mackowiak was a gunshot to the head.
For its part, the Cupertino company itself through its spokesperson Kristin huguet, stated the following after the events:
We are heartbroken over the tragic loss of a talented young partner. Our thoughts and deep condolences go out to his family and friends, including the many people who worked with him here at Apple. We are working to support them as much as possible in this difficult time.
Mackowiak was a software engineer at Apple and the causes of suicide are unknown. Hopefully events like this are not repeated and we regret the loss of this young engineer. On the other hand, "I am shocked" by the ease of entering a firearm into a building like Apple's (without knowing many details of the case) that I imagine must have security arches and other systems to prevent access to the premises with firearms , but this time it didn't work.
