Apple Releases Supplemental Security Update for OS X 10.11.6 for Kernel Issue

Apple has released a supplemental security update for OS X El Capitan, the version prior to macOS Sierra. The update weighs 623.9MB and it can be downloaded right away if you enter the Mac App Store and have a compatible Mac.

As we say in the title of the news, it is a supplementary security update for OS X 10.11.6 that would solve the kernel problems on certain Macs.

The supplemental security update that Apple has made available to all users who currently have OS X 10.11.6 El Capitan installed, comes with a fix to help solve a problem that was occurring in the core of Macs that was causing occasionally they did not respond. Users who have the system version installed OS X El Capitan 10.11.6 can find security update 2016-003 on the Updates tab of the Mac App Store.
