Apple Releases WatchOS 5.1.2 With ECG App, As Well As New Complications

One of the most anticipated versions of watchOS has been released. Following yesterday's updates to the macOS and IOS versions, watchOS 5.1.2 arrives today allows Apple Watch Series 4 customers to do using the ECG app and perform electrocardiograms just by putting your finger on the crown of our Apple Watch.

In this afternoon's update, in addition to the typical performance and stability of the system in general, we find new complications, on the main face of the Infograph watch and modular infograph, where we find the time.

Apple itself describes the ECG function of the Series 4 as follows:

The electrodes built into the digital crown and rear glass work in conjunction with the ECG app, to read the electrical signals from your heart. Simply touch the digital crown to generate an ECG waveform in just 30 seconds. The ECG app can tell if your heart rhythm shows signs of atrial fibrillation (a serious form of irregular heart rhythm) or sinus rhythm, which means that your heart is beating in a normal pattern.

Each beat of the heart sends an electrical impulse. With the ECG app, Apple Watch Series 4 can read and record these impulses by connecting the circuit between your heart and both arms. The resulting ECG waveform, its classification, and any notes you've entered about related symptoms are automatically stored in your iPhone's health app. You can share them with your doctor and have a conversation about your health.

Other changes that this update receives is a new switch in the Control Center of the application Walkie-Talkie. Regarding complications, In the beta we saw the icons of Find my friends, home, mail, Maps, Messages, News, Phone and Remote Control. We also found improvements in the tickets and rewards cards in the app Wallet. All in all, a great update for the Apple Watch.
