Apple has proposed to the authorities, to increase the production of the factory located in Mesa, in the State of Arizona. Companies must communicate any substantial variation to the FTZ Board of Economic Development, in the city of Mesa when they want to make a relevant change in their activity.
So far, the apple company uses the factory for the production of small semi-finished consumer components. That is, pieces of future equipment, which would be assembled a posteriori for the production of products. However, these products would not be manufactured for sale, if not equipment for the production of servers data centers.
First, Apple has requested permission to import material from abroad, with which it will produce equipment at the Mesa plant. We are talking about:

- Washers
- Nuts
- Aluminum screws.
- Fan blades
- Fan housings
- Servers
- Input / output units.
- Storage units.
- Smart cables
- Card readers
- Transformers
- Batteries
- Microphones

- Solid state drives.
The finished equipment will likely go to the company's data centers located in Orengón and North Carolina. The plant is not big enough for component manufacturing and the creation of data centers in the same facilities.
Apple is rumored to have asked Foxconn and Pegatron for reports on the viability of manufacture of iPhones in the United States, after the measures proposed by the next administration in relation to producing technology within the United States.
Let us remember that today the only Mac made in America is the Mac Pro, transferring the rest of production to factories spread throughout the rest of the world. The need to produce outside is due to cost savings by manufacturing in large quantities.
