Apple has products for sale in its stores with AirPort technology

It is now one year since the dissolution of the Apple engineering team AirPort managers. On the other hand, it is important to note that Apple always has a letter hidden in the hat for some specific moments and we saw this with the arrival of one update for AirPort bases when the KRACK security flaw, an update that nobody expected and that finally arrived.

It is logical to think that the firm's AirPorts are already in a stage of decline and if there is nothing new we will see few changes in these, but of course, the technology implemented by these routers was not "thrown away" and some third-party manufacturers are selling similar products in terms of Apple's AirPort specifications with this technology.

It is such the case that even the well-known medium 9To5Mac asked Apple itself what was wrong with the AirPort Utility app that has even been adapted for the new iPhone model, the iPhone X and the answer is clear:

People love AirPort products, so we will continue to sell these products. Connectivity is important at home (and now more with the HomeKit push) so we want to provide users with the necessary tools to make their homes more comfortable and fully connected.

It goes without saying that Apple wants users to be able to enjoy the entire ecosystem of the brand with all the facilities and products of the Linksys firm, they are the ones that would now be in the lead to connect with the AirPort and Time Capsule. Although it is not in a direct way, Apple's AirPorts are present in stores of the brand and although it is true the way of connecting to a network has changed a lot over time - for the better - it is good to have these options for all users.
