Apple Store renovations come to London and Beijing

In the last hours we have known through the Apple website, that the turn of renovations of physical Apple stores reaches points as singular as London and Beijing. Specifically, they are the physical stores located in Covent Garden and Wangfujing. The scheduled closing date will be at the end of June.

These renovations are part of Apple's plan to renovate physical stores to adapt them to their new functionalities. In them you will find private spaces for talks and events, as well as the current spaces to learn about the products and ask the Genius.

Apple's space renovation plan evolves in a millimeter way. LWangfujing's store opened in October 2012. the Palo Alto Store opened a few weeks earlier and is currently undergoing renovation.

The Covent Garden store opened in July 2010 and at the time it was the largest store and celebrated at the opening being the 300th Apple store in the world. Currently Apple has about 500 stores. This building has uncoated bricks that are combined with wooden structures. That is why today it is one of the most unique stores, like the Croamburg store in Brooklyn, spaces that are worth visiting.

Given the uniqueness of the building and the opening date, which in no case exceeds 10 years, the renovation will most likely include interior items, such as giant screens, remodeled ceilings, and new display cases for items. If we take Palo Alto as a close reference, we see a video area and the aforementioned improvements.

As of today, Apple is in the process of renovating the Palo Alto store mentioned above, as well as the Nanjing IST store, Cause Bay and Jiefangbei. Future renovations are forecast for Lehigh Valley and Orland Park this year.
