The Met Gala has been going on since 1948, just two years after the Dress Institute will move to Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. We are talking about this topic today because this year the title chosen for the event has to do with technology and more specifically with Apple and its designer Jonathan Ive.

The title they have decided to give to the gala is Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology. As you can deduce from the title, the gala is going to be focused on a main theme which is the technology in which we are immersed in these times.

One of the masters of ceremonies at the 206 Met Gala is going to be a very important figure in Apple and Jonathan Ive is the one who has been selected to be Apple the main sponsor of the event. To put you a bit in situation, the previous Met gala was focused on China through the looking glass.

The gala will be held on next May 2, 2016 and in it the assistants will be able to see the differences and similarities between what would be the sewing in the rents made by hand and those that are made with the use of technology and automatic machines. As always, the proceeds from this gala will go to the maintenance of the Metropolitan Museum of Art Costume Institute.

We are sure that with the more than 100 models that will be shown the Apple Watch He will also walk the catwalk of this event giving the technological touch that Apple wants to give to the world of fashion.
