One of the topics that Apple seems to have forgotten in the Mac App Store of OS X is the widgets available. With the arrival of the notification center for OS X, many users thought that with this notification center Apple would add endless widgets for the notification center and it really has not.
If we look directly at the Apple application store for Mac, we find only 24 applications that have their own widget available. Actually, not everything is Apple's fault in this case, since the developers and the applications to use in the notification center does not seem to be very broad either, but it is clear that this option is not being taken full advantage of in OS X and hopefully the next version can take advantage of this function a little more.
The truth is that if we look at the 24 applications available in the Mac App Store, it is a bit short. It should be noted that not all applications for OS X are available in the Apple online store and that is why some more widget escapes us, but it is not something very remarkable either.
So even though some of the Dashboard widgets are still useful in current versions of OS X and have been better introduced, I still think that this part of our OS X has to be improved in the following versions, both on the part of Apple and on the part of the developers. More options of use for these widgets and a greater number of them may be interesting for many OS X users, don't you think?
