Artificial intelligence will be able to adjust the colors of a photo in the next version of Pixelmator Pro

Pixelmator Pro in version 1.3.1 incorporates import from iPhone

Pixelator Pro is one of the most popular software in the world of image editing and composition in the Mac world. One of the things that stands out the most about the application is the constant innovation to keep up with teams of developers as powerful as Adobe.

One of the advantages of Pixelmator Pro is to be written exclusively for macOS and therefore tries to take full advantage of all the software benefits that macOS offers. In the function that we will see today and is expected to be available in the next Pixelmator Pro update we will see how it treats an imported object from another image.

In this case, with the help of Apple learning technologies, CoreML and the help of artificial intelligence, we can adjust the lights and colors of an object that we have extracted it from one image and imported it into another. So far Pixelmator Pro applies the Artificial Intelligence in the color adjustment of a specific image. Pressing on the familiar function MLEnhance we see how the image changes to a very natural and real tonality and contrast.

As we anticipated, in the next update the developers will take one more step with the function ML Match Colors. In the video we can see how when selecting the skater and inserting it into another image (by the way, a relatively simple task with Pixelmator Pro) it darkens, adapting to the target scene that has less light than the initial one. On the other hand, if we have the original photograph and drag it to the configuration panel, its adjustments are applied immediately. We see how the photograph becomes lighter and receives a somewhat more saturated tonality.
