Why the new Apple TV will kill your Xbox or Playstation

A new report gives us a better view of the new Apple TV which is expected to be released next month, in this report it includes the fact that it will be sold with a motion sensitive remote similar to Nintendo Wii, but also a radical change in its design.

In a comprehensive report by Techcrunch, Matthew Panzarino says the new Apple TV will go beyond being a hobby for us, taking a big step forward after it debuted on January 2007. The report confirms that the new Apple TV will feature a dual-core A8 processor to maximize performance. In correlation with a TV with the App Store, this will allow the new Apple TV run applications alongside next-gen consoles, such as the PlayStation 3 o Xbox 360.

Panzarino also says the new Apple TV will have a radically changed design. It will be a little fatter and a little more heavy than the current 3 generation Apple TV, but it will come with a button dedicated to Siri, physical buttons in the lower half, And a touchpad area on the surface.

But that is not all, Panzarino dares to say the following:

One thing that hasn't been talked about yet is the fact that the new remote will be motion sensitive, probably including sensors that put you in control like a multi-axis Nintendo Wii remote.

It will be a gaming device that can be played with a microphone, physical buttons, touchpad y motion sensitive controls. While Apple is going to direct the broad gaming market towards the new Apple TV. Think for example to multiplayer using vo inputz, where many popular genres of board games would be better used on a television than on an iPad or iPhone.

I personally believe that AppStore games do not have the potential of PlayStation games 3 or XBox 360, but if they come with the characteristics that are being said, and with specific games for this new Apple TV it will be surprising.

Look, I'm a lifelong maquero, but the fury of the article seems excessive to me ... let's leave the consoles on one side and the set-on-top boxes on the other. That the comparisons of performance and possibilities are odious ... it is already good to be fanboys because the apple brand does something

Greater stupidity impossible, as an A8 with integrated graphics that works at about 5W with dedicated ones that has a much higher power will compete, no matter how much metal they say and no matter how much nonsense they add, it is still the A8, an ARM, which like a lot will have 2GB of RAM hopefully. How is it going to compete with consoles that have 8GB of RAM and 500GB of storage, in addition to the entire catalog that is on consoles.

Hahaha the title is very beast, it can never compete, no matter how powerful it is, it is still the Apple TV, a multimedia station. It is not a game console, nor do I think it ever will be, if the rumors are true, at most a platform to play in the style of android tv.
Nor does it have the catalog of games or xbox or playstation, a game of that type needs a lot of power, and apple I do not think it wants to make a video console, if a video console is expensive, from apple, nor do I tell you what it could cost.
Do not dramatize the title hahaha, it is simply to explain the latest rumors on apple tv.

The truth is that the headline is a bit excessive ... I doubt that you know much about video games, because neither the Playstation 3 nor the Xbox 360 are consoles of this generation. The Play4 is already 2 years old and the Xbox One another as many. If Apple wants to enter the world of video games, I have no doubt that Apple TV is a Trojan horse and that if things work, they will try to compete against Sony or Microsoft, but at the moment I don't think so. Now they will be games of the mobile or tablet type, a little improved and / or adapted. Anyway next Wednesday we will leave doubts, at the moment they are all speculation ...

I have the ps3, if I did not have to put the latest generation there, good observation.

Well, in my opinion, being able to play the ipad game on the  tv, which there are with more than enough quality, seems like a good reason not to buy a console again. I'm not a gamer, I like car games, Wii motion games, little else. If I can do that (an Asphalt on TV ??: O) without a console, in my house the play, wii and xbox die.
