BNZ bank now supports Apple Pay in New Zealand

In recent months we have hardly had news related to the international expansion of Apple Pay, but in recent weeks news related to this electronic payment technology is the order of the day. In fact, yesterday this technology reached four new countries: United Arab Emirates, Finland, Denmark and Sweden.

The other news related to Apple Pay is related to the number of banks that currently offer this payment technology. The New Zealand, the new bank that has been added to the number of banks compatible with Apple Pay It is BNZ, the second largest bank in the country, so Apple joins a very important point in this regard.

For now, bank customers will have to wait until the end of this month to start adding their BNZ bank VISA card, which will allow all bank customers with an iPhone 6 or higher, Apple Watch or iPad Air 2 henceforth pay all your purchases without the need to physically use the card. According to David Bullock, Director of Products and Technology at BNZ Bank:

We know that our customers want an exceptional experience that allows them to pay quickly, easily and securely on a wide range of devices here, online and abroad. We've been hearing how our customers have been requesting Apple Pay and it's so exciting to be able to say it's here

So far, the contact payment system called Eftpos, had become the most widely used throughout the country. The commission rates charged for each transaction is very low, hence the become one of the most popular tools used in the countryBut with the advent of Apple Pay, its use is more than likely to drop considerably.
