BOX launches a new application to synchronize files stored in the cloud

All cloud storage services offer an application with which we can synchronize all our files automatically without having to work with the web browser at any time. So far so good. But the cloud storage service wants to go a little further and has launched a new application that allows us to enable the folder that we share as its own unit, a unit where all the files that are part of that storage account are displayed but without downloading. This feature is ideal for companies where collaborative work is paramount.

This very new application, which works independently of the one already offered to us and allows us to synchronize the files in our cloud, is available in beta and is designed for users who work collaboratively, so that everyone can access directly now at the same time to the same file to add or modify its content.

But also another feature that is most striking is that it will not download all the content, only the file that we need to modify, in this way we will save an important part of space on our Mac, since as a general rule corporate accounts are not exactly low in storage.

In addition, since they are not physically available on our Mac, access to these files is prevented if for any reason we lose or steal the MacBook with which we usually work. Although BOX is not one of the most popular storage services, over time it has managed to earn a place among users and large companies alike.

It must be borne in mind that this service is together with Dropbox, one of the oldest that we can currently find on the internet. Also, unlike Dropbox, it is not known to have suffered any attack on its servers.
