CarPlay will also come to the Korean car brand KIA

Although Apple is not giving all the publicity that it should to this system, vehicle manufacturers are the ones that little by little are informing the world that their navigation systems are going to be compatible with it. C. Although for us, who are always talking about everything that those of the bitten apple do is already an old acquaintance, the navigation system CarPlay is not known to many people.

Last week I was in front of the television when in an advertisement you could see the commercial for a car in which the driver made use of CarPlay. When seeing those images a friend who watched television with me told me It looks a lot like iOS!

Apple for many months now put on the table what we can classify as an adaptation of the iOS system for the car, in such a way that when we enter the vehicle and connect the iPhone to the car system, we can do everything we do with the phone in the car system and thus not be distracted or violate any traffic laws.

However, as we have anticipated, the fact that the vehicles have the system CarPlay doesn't depend solely on Apple and it is the car manufacturers themselves who have to arrange their vehicles to make use of it.

This is precisely what has been happening with brands such as BMW or Volkswagen that are already including this system in their new vehicles. Many are the car brands that are joining this adaptation of iOS in the car and today we inform you that it has been the turn of the Korean manufacturer KIA which has announced that both the Apple platform and Android Auto will be available in the form of updates to   free for many of the vehicles already on the market.

If you have a KIA manufactured between 2014 and the present, you have to know that you can update the vehicle's system in order to have CarPlay available. This update will be available for download at the end of this month of July from the website itself UVO-Home.
